A lot of lameness that occurs later in springtime is due to conditions that occur while animals are housed, calving, dietary factors and environmental factors e.g. housing, scrapers, cubicles etc. In order to minimise lameness farmers need to be aware of these problems and deal with them. 1. Irish Cattle Foot trimmers association was formed in Port Laois on 1st December 2012 at the Maldron Hotel, and has grown quickly in the 12 months since. We are working hard to make the next 12 months even more successful!
